Spiritridge Read-A-Thon Fundraising

The Read-A-Thon will be Spiritridge PTSA Spring fundraiser for the 2018-2019 school year. Students will set a reading goal,gather sponsors to pledge money, read during the week of 4/21 – 4/28 and turn in money and packets by May 3, 2019.

100% of the proceeds raised from the Read-A-Thon go towards students at Spiritridge.  Please help us reach goal of raising $35,000. Remember:  we will not be holding an auction this year. Please support the Read-A-Thon generously! Thank you!

Family Science Night and Science Fair are coming!

Wednesday April 24th 6:30-8:00pm 

Come and have science-related fun! This is a school-wide event! Prizes! Scavenger Hunt! Hands-on Science and Engineering Kits!  In addition to the display boards by Spiritridge scientists, we will have several community STEM organizations on display. To display your project and earn academic challenge credit, register by FRIDAY March 29 at 

All students are welcome to participate! Mandatory for all 5th grade general education studentsOptional fun for all others. Even if you have registered separately for the Academic Challenge program, you must register for this event. Every dollar spent helps earn money for our school library to use toward the purchase of additional book titles and much more.  
This is our Buy One Get One Free Book Fair - a student and family favorite.  
*PLEASE NOTE: An adult must accompany all students attending the Book Fair before and after school. Hallways and classrooms are closed during after school hours. Parents must use marked parking and should not leave cars in the drop off area.

Egg Drop Competition - 5/2/2019


The Challenge:To build an egg container/lander that will protect a raw, uncooked egg as it is launched from a 70-foot high ladder by the Bellevue Firefighters (pending any departure due to emergency fire response calls!).
How the competition works:  All containers must be made at home prior to the event. Bring your unsealed, eggless landing device to school the morning of the launch. Check-in starts at 8:20am at the school front door. Please have your name and grade written on your container. Volunteers will collect the landers, install the egg and prep the container for launch.  Launches will take place during all the lunch recesses.
