What is the Move-A-Thon?  Our annual fundraiser in the fall gives us a jump start on raising money to support the school and the programs that benefit all children in Spiritridge CommUNITY throughout the year.  By meeting our goal early in the year, we are able to guarantee funding for the most loved programs at Spiritridge, and avoid the uncomfortable asks later in the year! Unity Day Volunteers Needed! Help us celebrate Unity Day at Spiritridge by helping us prepare supplies to be used by the school on the 19th. On that Wednesday, students and staff will come together during an assembly to show unity for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion and to send a visible message that no child should ever experience bullying! SI Lacrosse Sammamish Interlake Lacrosse is offering two free Try Lacrosse clinics in January on 1/8 and 1/15 at Tillicum Middle School.  SI Lacrosse is the feeder program for Sammamish and Interlake High School Lacrosse.  Teams include players grades 2-8 who attend elementary and middle schools feeding into Sammamish and Interlake High Schools.  Teams practice twice weekly with a game on the weekend, practices begin in February.  For more info, visit Sammamish Interlake Lacrosse Club (silacrosse.org) . ... read full article

Reflections Spiritridge student Submission Deadline:  Thurs Dec. 8th at 8pm Reflections  is a National PTA arts recognition program that helps students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence, and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful not only in school, but in life. Staff Appreciation – Soup and Pie Bar Every month we are given the opportunity to encourage and appreciate our Spiritridge Staff with a luncheon, breakfast or some other type of celebration.   November 17 we will be hosting a  Soup and Pie Bar  sponsored by our  1 st grade families! Items can be dropped in front of the school on Wednesday, November 16,  between 7:30am and 4:00pm. The technology team needs a handful of volunteers on Wednesdays 09.21 & 09.28 to help staff with basic iPad and laptop maintenance. This year’s devices still have last year’s stickers stuck to them (student usernames/decorations/stickers). Teachers have voluntarily signed up to have these stickers removed so that this year’s students can enjoy the fresh start of a like-new device. We would love support with using goo gone, scrapers and rubbing alcohol to restore the outside of iPad and laptop devices to like-new condition. This will be done in partnership with  Hopelink .
